Loving the Snow!

No school means time for some serious fun! So, up to the Larson cabin on Mt. Graham we went for some MLK Day vacationing!
It was beautiful sunny weather and the snow was still nice and deep so sledding was a blast for the kids. We learned last year after borrowing the Lunt's snow gear that staying warm and dry was the key to having snow fun, so this year we got some bargain snow duds in Flagstaff and the kids loved every minute of the day!

Reagan loved making snow angels...Roxy was worried she was hurt!

Sledding was so much fun! Reagan even learned to catch some air on one run!

Travis wanted to eat the snow--clean or not--Silly boy!

An occasional crash is inevitable! Luckily, they both got up laughing!

So fun!

Travis just wanted to sled, not take pictures!

Daddy was a trooper and pulled Travis up the hill over and over again!

Roxy and I loved just watching.

Reagan-camouflaging herself so she could get a shot off at Dad during their snowball fight.

Quick hide!
"I'm going to build an igloo Mom!"
Watch out! Snow ball fight!

Snow Beauty!

The Wright family also came up and joined in the fun! Reagan and Adam had a blast sledding down the big hill. But, after a while the kids all decided it was time to build a snowman. They didn't have much luck as the snow didn't pack well at all.

Adam won the race that time!

Faster!

Go Dad!

We love the snow!

Riding Into 2011

Riding into 2011....

OH MY! Where does the time go? Christmas break flew by and we are back into the swing of daily life. We are all having fun, keeping busy, and even got to go to Hunter's cool Karate birthday party. Travis is back to enjoying or not really enjoying being home alone everyday....but he is loving his plasma scooter and watching and "being Buzz"! Reagan is back to school and sad to loose her dance and gymnastics car pool buddies this semester. She spends her little bit of free time reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" or playing DS these days. Daddy is working daily on his model A which is up and running! He is so proud. I just finished a 4 week NAU class on the AZ and Federal Constitution as I am starting my bachelors degree...yuck- but I am excited to get it finished! We are excited for the new year!

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year.....

It just wouldn't be Christmas Eve without a trip to Solomon for Joy and Papa's Christmas Eve celebration complete with Mexican food, white elephant, Santa, and the Nativity performed by the cousins. Reagan was thrilled to be Mary this year and hold baby James (which made me super nervous but she did a great job!) Travis was excited to be a shepard with the rest of the boys. Aren't they a cute little group!?

Reagan, Evan, and James

It was almost a chatastrophie because Santa couldn't find Reagan and Travis's gifts, but he came through in the end!

So cute!

Christmas Eve day was spent with my family. We ate tons of yummy food and just hung out.

Travis enjoyed torturing Grandma with his toys!

Grandma Mayrice enjoyed the festivities with us.

So precious!

Getting everyone to smile on cue was near impossible--this was the best we could do.

Travis had fun being silly!

"Santa says Ho Ho Ho!!!!"

Kaela just hanging out...

Our two Christmas cuties...

Cute cousins...

Christmas morning, Reagan and Travis found Santa hadn't forgotten them! They woke up to find lots of fun treasures...the most important being Reagan's fancy DS and Travis's twister ride. They both were thrilled to get what they asked for. I love to see their excited little faces and their laughter! My family was there to join in on the chaos and open gifts together.

"Check it out!"

Reagan got Kit from Mom and Dad. "She looks like me!"

Travis loved tearing into all the presents!

Cheese! "I love this book!" Travis said!

Reagan loves to help hand out the gifts.

Opening her suitcase from Grandma and Grandad...

Travis loves his fire and police station from Mommy and Daddy.

It works great...especially on the wood floors! Good thing we have plenty of open space!

Travis was excited to get a "frog computer like Reagan's". He is loving playing cars on it!

We spent the afternoon at the Larsons playing with cousins and enjoying some relaxing time. The kids loved every minute of it!

Christmas is fun....we are grateful for gifts but are so very thankful for the season's true meaning...the birth of our Saviour. I love to hear the kids talk about what Christmas is all about...sometimes I think they really get it! If only Christmas lasted all year long!
